Research to read after seeing Gloria and The Events

Theater and Policy Salon co- facilitators and Theater Alliance Producing Artistic Director Colin Hovde will join the audience for a post-show artist talk-back following the September 30, 2018 2pm matinee performance of Gloria at Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company. Colin Hovde directed Theater Alliance’s current production of The Events which also wrestles with the question of narrative and healing after a mass shooting. The conversation will get underway at 4pm, following the 2pm performance.

Woolly has provided a discount code for Salon friends, SALON, which is good for 10% off any performance. If you cannot join us on September 30, note Gloria has been extended to October 7. For students: full-time college and graduate school students with a valid school ID (and anyone who is 30 or under) can purchase tickets starting at $20 (plus fees) for any performance, subject to availability.

A feature that reviews recent research and published by the American Psychological Association says that long-term outcomes for survivors of mass shootings are improved with the help of community connections and continuing access to mental health support.
